Appreciation
Are you passive or aggressive when it comes to the love you hold??
Are you conniving or with an open heart as the story of your life unfolds??
Can there be a way for me to climb inside your soul??
Can there somehow be a door or window I can slip into so you don't see me as I duck and role??

May you close your eyes just once and let me hold you tight??
May you pretend to care about me even if it's for one night??
Perhaps you can be blinded as I kiss your lips so quickly??
Perhaps you should pretend that my heart won't let you be??

Please don't move away from me as this time, could you use a hug??
Please don't scatter what's left of my mind, as is that hole for me that you dug??
So take this soul that I still have and think about what you've seen within it??
So take some time my far off friend and perhaps think about talking to me as we sit??

The love never dies and the feelings never part, well maybe they did for you??
The love could of left your emptied heart at one point my dear, is it true??
I appreciate you taking this piece of your day and a chunk, if you did give me that time??
I appreciate everything you've done for me by the way, so know that you're precious, even though you are not mine.....

Stacy I guess my review of this will be more for me than for you. Through your poetry of having a broken heart I can see this in my real life and as an outsider looking in I see the mistakes I am making in the name of love. I guess it is best to write about it, like you I am posting these poems that reflect such loss and sadness with a spirit trying to recover dignity and understanding of why this is happening. None of us deserve to feel this way, to love some so much and to find they don't love us as much back, some don't even respect us.

The truth is that if someone isn't feeling us there is little we can do to change it, it is best to feel through it and to move onto better pastures to indulge in. I kept going back to only have my chewed up, crushed and spit out again, finally I get it, I don't deserve to be treated that way no matter who it is and no matter if I am in love with her or not. If this guy doens't love you then save yourself and move on. Personally I am tired of persecuting myself for them after our last talk I can say I am truly done and I will write about her to purge the emotions so I can heal but other than that I am done and I hope you reach that point too.

A wise person appreciate the good people who came into a life. The story in the poem was very good. Love and friendship may fade away to less. Smart people try to hold on to old friends. A excellent poem. Thank you.
