Mother's Memory
If I could carry a smile in my heart, Constantly and with courage Then perhaps I could hold on to this part, Where I believe that you and I could merge There were times that I was in fact apart of you, We could not be separated ever Then nine months later I was due, Little did I know I would miss you forever Born into a world that would end up scary, Taken away from the one person that kept me safe and secure Mom, I love you even for the secrets that you buried, As it gave me the fight and strength to endure So as the days and nights seem to quickly go by, Know that I think of you most times with a smile with a bit of glee I recall cleaning the house to the eight track of Air Supply, I wouldn't give up those memories for anything as they are precious to me.
