Rest In Peace Mother RectorA Poem by StacyPerry1-30-2011 [Shelby passed 1-29-2011......]Rest In Peace Mother Rector As I sit here with that cigarette lit, I watch from the shadows what next occurs, This is one of many times I feel like I've been hit, Yet I sit there inhaling and try to endure, I watch them pick you up, A sadness falls over me, The water is overflowing from the cup, Tears fall down and hit my shirt so aimlessly, Now they have placed you in a bag, One of your size and I stand back, Loving you still even after they place on your toe a tag, Knowing in my heart that there is no love that is to lack, So while you are taken to the funeral home, I am finishing that cigarette I had lit prior, My heart begins to feels like it's on fire even though still made of stone, Then the hammer swings back and smashes it into a pyre Let's light up the world with the rage inside, Can't you tell I want to harm them all, I lost the last love that was unconditional along with my pride, Someone help me as I am on the ledge and ready to fall, You are loved my dear one, I shall never forget you or your soul, Even though in this lifetime you are done, I shall love you forever and never let anyone close again to take an emotional toll.
