Sweet Nightmare

Sweet Nightmare

A Poem by StacyPerry

Vivid nightmares have NO place within my mind,
These are seeming to occur all the time,
Everyone is haunting my thoughts,
What I would give to tear my skull apart,
To take out all of the horrid feelings,
Oh nightmares of my being,
So as this rhyme does end,
Please be kind my friend,
Tell the keepers within my mind,
To lock the demons up tighter this time.

I love the last two rhythmic lines.

And what an image: 'What I would give to tear my skull apart' Extreme, but it goes with the subject matter.

Nicely written.

Ain't easy to hide these bad dreams. I like the story in the poem. I use my Native American Dream catcher and meditation to keep the bad dreams away. Complete poem was amazing. I like your ending. A outstanding poem.
