Our First Christmas

Our First Christmas

A Poem by StacyPerry
"

12-22-2010 [Oh k, so you got a gift 4 days early, lol]

"
Last night it was so hard,
I slid it over you with precise fit
We connected together like a house of cards,
Smooth and entangled together with us every bit
You smiled as it covered you,
I grinned and let out a happy sigh
It was long over do,
A never ending way so hello instead of goodbye
We stared at one another,
You were still hard yet flexible
We laid together under the covers,
Things within our brain to mull
You were pleased with the ring that held a shamrock within it,
Happy that I placed it upon your wedding hand
A promise made to be faithful and honest had come along with your eyes that were lit,
And soon you shall be placing that promise ring upon my finger as a loving band.

What a wonderfully sweet piece of prose...I do think you mean "overdue" instead of "over do"...hope that helps.
