Childhood
Hey, do I have your attention??
Oh by the way did I mention
Things can go awry within seconds,
As we stare threw the rose colored lens
Seeing the world as it isn't truly is,
May turn us into kids
Yet we stay there for a while,
Sitting with our stuffed animals to smile
A tea party or playing ball,
Whether a boy or girl it is our call
As our childhood flows by,
There will be times that we cry
So lift up your chin oh sweet one,
Know that neither of us are done
Let us go back to play with our friends,
Knowing forever this shall not be the end
Precious is the one who pretends,
That every boo boo we get a band aid put on shall eventually mend..........

"Except you become as little children, you shall not enter into the Kingdom of God"

Words of Jesus. Children are tender-hearted and honest...they except their parents word as truth...believing in blind faith the love they have known. It is age that makes cynics..."real life" that invades trust and breaks it down until there is no faith left at all in anyone or anything. We say we are "wise to the ways of the world"...but "professing to be wise...we become as fools"...if faith can move mountains....then it is a child's hand that can move the world. Very nice write.
