The overwhelming torture of my mind,
Thoughts within bringing me to the brink
If it weren't for your idiosyncrasies and OCD kind,
I'd be able to stop and have just one thought of my own to think
You never could stop with your holier than thou attitude,
The things you preached to me were not even of your beliefs
There were sometimes you acted just plain candid yet rude,
You came into my thoughts and stole originality like a thief
So I think it is time for you to back off of screaming in my head,
Let your ideals stay within yourself
I can't count the times I've tried to suppress you with so many meds,
The doctors stated "the voice would go away" with medication and believing in myself.

I don't know. I was told by a wise Grandfather. listen, listen and think before you speak. Simple things we can do to be able to have good conversations. A excellent poem. I don't believe we need medicine sometimes. Maybe better manners.

Your doctor was correct I do believe. Listen to yourself, believe in you and set your own future. I think what you wrote here is very real. People do get into our minds, they do repeat what they heard from others and represent that which is not them self. Why listen to them then?
