Man In The MoonA Poem by StacyPerry11-26-2010
Man in the Moon
There sits the moon lurking above, As I gaze upon it with an open heart of love The man within stares down upon me, I smile back as his eyes I see Taken by this glistening light, All the evils and all the fights They seem to well up and then fade fast, I'm thankful to this man who makes me smile at last I still sit and stare into his face, Oh far away smile can you take me from this place?? The moon hangs in the sky and seems to nod back, The man within the moon knows my mind is completely racked Yet nothing more can harm me and nothing is left unsaid, Seeing the moonlight dance off the grass that night has left me pining for bed So as this tale ends almost as quickly as it began, If it weren't for me staring aimlessly I would of never met my new, solitude of a "Man".
