Seeing Turmoil

A Poem by StacyPerry

Lids of the eyes are heavy and darkened,
It is sleep that I have called to and hearkened
Almost a begging that comes out of my lips indeed,
As my body fails with exhaustion I sit with a tired mind and plead
Screaming out to any and everyone that shall listen,
Know that these tears within my eyes that glisten
They are for the realm of the unconscious that I would like to join.
As I lay me down to sleep....please let that simple phrase stay coined
Perhaps in 5 more days I shall be much better,
If not then know I have told you of my turmoil within this poetic letter.

When you can't get to sleep and you are exhausted it only makes your emotion stronger and harder to deal with. The agony of not being able to find sleep is a horrible experience when you know you need the rest.

I loved how it flowed, I think I even saw some very complicated rhyming scheme (A-B-C-D). Very great writing keep it up.
