Shelter

Shelter

A Poem by StacyPerry
"

11-22-10

"
Taking this love to a higher ground,
Never to come crashing down
As I seek some solace from pain,
You are the one to keep me sane
When the ones on the outside try to break in,
You'll hold me tight from these demons within
So as I thank you for your shelter,
Make sure our love holds tight and I know you can concur.

the sentiment in this poem is clearly stated and the emotions are loud and clear but the last line throws the poem off for it doesn't rhyme like all the others do. Other than that this is a good poem

Reminds me of how girls really drive away the skeletons in the closet. The right girl in your bed, a straight on head. Very beautiful and reminiscent. Thank you for the vivid flashback

I like this poem. A great flow to the world. We need shelter and someone to hold tight to us. Keep us hopeful and alive in spirit. A outstanding poem.
