Imperfect PerfectionA Poem by StacyPerry11-14-2010
Times of paranoia hit me hard,
I see things and hear things that aren't in the cards Yet I swear they are there, you know what I am saying, Those real to life smells and the sound of music that keeps me swaying These ghosts that made me think too much, I seem to be in the head quite touched Yet the distant memories of nothing tangible, Are the only things that keep me holding onto something with thoughts to mull Now the walls bring me crimson paint, This life is filled with sinners and one saint Let me go to the other side, I can rock back and forth as I hide Peek-a-boo my dear phantom of the mind, You see me too and I know you won't be so kind So as I fall deeper into the insanity of my lost soul, At least as you hold me and kiss me I shall know my role I am the one who opens my eyes and sees you above me with arms outstretched, The nightmare I lived is over now as you hold me and say you love me as I am your catch Per chance is this another hallucination of the heart?? It can't be as you saved me from myself and a new life begins with you.....a fresh start Into your arms I shall stay safe therefore harmed by none, Both of us knowing that we're an imperfect perfection. © 2010 StacyPerryFeatured Review
