Good Luck, My Friend

Good Luck, My Friend

A Poem by StacyPerry

"
Thinking of all the times that we'd fight,
Hoping to God that all of the wrongs would turn right
Considering all of the times that you left me each and every tonight,
Hoping and making a wish upon the stars that you'd return home alright
Wondering why our love never lasted through all of the plight,
Hoping to the moon you would have some resemblance of insight
Knowing the end of "US" would feel like a rabid dogs bite,
Hoping for you to enjoy life and as your "friend" know that I have seen, along with you, the light.

This is a sad poem. It is hard when you feel there are deeper emotions but the other person says it's just friends.

This was pretty good Stacy. I like the line
"Knowing the end of "US" would feel like a rabid dogs bite,"
Thanks for sharing.

I love this. Stubborn, passionate, and full of a broken heart's rage that is subtle yet the most dangerous. Very good write indeed.

The poem last line is the key. Yes we need to see the light and understand to appreciate the good things in a life. A outstanding short poem with a very good story. Thank you.
