Timing is of the essence,
My heart has broken in half
Non of this had ever made sense,
Why are you tattooed on my calf??
One drunken exploration,
A time that is forever inked
A two sided declaration,
Our souls forever linked
I searched for you the next morning,
You were gone before I woke
It seemed to be a love worth mourning,
That's why I thought my heart was broke
Yet I saw you just a moment ago,
We talked and you agreed
We hit the same tattoo studio,
Got each others names covered up with speed
We agreed it was a mistake,
A permanent reminder of a drunken love
All the ecstasy we did take,
It erased everything from our minds except lust.....oh, wait.....love.
