5 Stages Of Grief

5 Stages Of Grief

A Poem by StacyPerry
"

9-8-10

"
Anger and endings are all to real,
Times of heartache seem to make me constantly reel
I hold in no emotions anymore,
All I want to do is even the score
Yet the love I hold for you is STILL there,
Living with you and seeing your face
This is something that for others might be rare,
I just can't seem to walk away
Yet I feel the 5 stages of grief as I stay,
To you I have something to tell;
Our love whether it has been a good time or bad wasn't a true living hell.

The statement in this poem is strong. The feelings are conveyed quite clearly, but the flow if this poem is all over the place. I had the same problem with my poems too. There are some lines that have way too many syllables and others that don't have enough which cause the from to break and start again. take your time and revisit this poem later when the emotions have calmed and you will see what I am talking about. I don't suggest fixing it now for the emotions are too raw.

The poem tells a powerful story of the pain of loving and being separated. Pain must come for us to feel peace and to heal. I like how you set-up the poem. A very good ending to a powerful poem.
