Ending; The Reality

Ending; The Reality

A Poem by StacyPerry
"

"
It ends as quick as it began,
A story of her first true love
This one is of a woman,
Who had a whirlwind kiss as high as a dove
Then she came back down through the years,
A sad ending yet somehow right
All of her brightly colored fears,
They all came true that night
The man she was in love with didn't love her back,
A story you hear a million times
Her heart had been slammed by a truck of a variety named "mac",
Unfortunately she didn't want to believe any of the signs
This love wasn't as epic as she made herself believe,
Her heart is shattered into a billion parts
At least the guy was purely relieved,
He didn't have to be the one to kill her heart
In the end they mutually decided,
A friendship would be the only thing left standing
Her life wrongs would never be righted,
Now she looks at him with pain and despair as her thoughts & heart are still plighted
This tale ends as it began,
This is where it gets sad
The girl that loved her considered soul mate of a man,
She is dead inside now and for ME.....well it feels bad.

This is a sad tale you have spun in this poem. Many times we as poets hide our real emotions from the outside world for we feel them so strongly and in hiding them from the "real world" we compose a poem with all the hurt sadness and depression poured into each line. This poem explains all those emotions. Wonderful job.

Hard to become friends after a heartbreak. I believe we know too much and may want dive back in and cause more damage then pleasure. A powerful poem. You answer your own question. A excellent poem.
