When I think of you,
Each moment that passes
It's all I can stay sane to do,
Before my soul just crashes
The thoughts are within me,
The love is as well
Why must you have the key,
To unlock happiness of which I used to think was hell
It's not a bad thing,
This amazing love that has restarted my heart
Almost as if we can create a song to sing,
We have so much in common would be lyrics from the start
It would continue on to tell the tale,
One of how we met
My heart used to be on my sleeve, but now it's in the mail,
A long distance to send but worth it I bet.

Those long distance letters are a great bonus when you are far away from people you love. I was deployed 10 years out of my 15 years in active duty Army. Letters were the best gift to be able to read often and hold in your hand. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
