Autopsy

Autopsy

A Poem by StacyPerry
"

8-21-10

"
As our last embrace,
Seems to go on forever
I feel no disgrace,
Beaming from your eyes that are severed
The fact that I ended this,
A sad one indeed
Perhaps if you didn't think our love was a literal hit or miss,
You'd be around still to read
These words that I type for your memory,
A thought that passes into mind
Something anyone or anything could see,
A love that began of the forewarned kind
Yet the saw went straight through your heart at autopsy,
Amazing how time passes
Now I think of you in certain ways that I can remember thee,
There is a memorial from the masses
If you wouldn't of done it, I just might,
The way you used to hit me
I had no choice but to fight,
You ended up dead and I ended up free.

all my friends said
"He died so you could LIVE and raise the child"
he almost killed me with those hard hands on many a occassion . . . .

A amazing story in this poem. You combine autopsy, emotion and anger in the same poem. The complete poem held my attention. A very strong ending to a outstanding poem. Thank you.

the last lines in this poem sum up what the rest of this poem is about and it makes it a very powerful poem with the last two lines.

This is dark and very grim but story in the poem is very well told. Sometimes someone dying as a positive impact on another life. At least if we believe that we can live with the death.
