Clasp Of Love

Clasp Of Love

A Poem by StacyPerry
"

8-19-10

"
If only our love wasn't so tainted,
Perhaps we could of made it through
We both knew I was never sainted,
That's why you left as that's all you could do
Amazing how we've staid friends,
A surprise in a few senses over the days
See our love might of come to an end,
Yet our being together still stays
Sometimes fate steps in and takes us in it's grasp,
It's a nice thing really my dear, at least for a while
That we can hold on tight as a clasp,
Too bad that our friendship is as fragile.

This poem is expressed quite clearly and the flow is good up until the last two lines but you emotions come through loud and clear and the story is told nicely.

I like the title. "Clasp of love." I know the feeling. The poem story was strong. Sometime we cannot connect completely. Those clasp of love is all we have. A outstanding poem.
