Lying motionless in bed,
Perhaps you thought I was dead??
I open my eyes suddenly instead,
All I could see was red
I heard every word about my pill popping you said,
The words echo through my head
I might be addicted, but it gets me through the day with you.....as I take another med.

I can picture this in my head as I read it. One suggestion though: change "echo" to "echoing"
Good poem. It told a story and the rhyming was good.
