Twisted Game

Twisted Game

A Poem by StacyPerry

Certainty is something that we are never truly sure of,
As our heart plays tricks upon us even when we are turned the other way
Truly times are troubled when we think of anything above,
Yet we seem to wake up and go on every single day
If there were a story that was about you and me,
I think that it would start out with a twist and a tale
Perhaps it would state that we were not lovers, but family,
Do you even think that people would buy that sale??
Each and every life time that we seem to live,
Is another day that we awake to an alarm bell
There will be a day that comes when one of us can give,
Something back to the other in this twisted game we play called hell.

People play these sorts of games and neither wins. Nicely done.

"The twisted game we play called hell." You wrote a amazing poem. The description and story made the last line powerful and true. I like this poem. It is outstanding.
