Destroying You and Me

7-15-2010 [today we figure out if you are leaving me or not]

Sifting through the wreckage of my shattered heart,
Have you found the pieces that made up the puzzle which you were apart??
They are all scattered about here and there,
Memories and love smashed to pieces if you care
Then again it was you who swung the sledge hammer at me,
Taunting and bashing me down as you wouldn't let me be
Sadly enough you took out that light I had in my eyes,
The one you gave me every time I saw you as if you were a prize
Amongst the ruins have you found my soul??
I lost it in the battle of which I had no control
Let me know if you locate my feelings for you as well,
After your verbal destruction of me all has gone to hell
The only thing left is the knowledge of "are you happy finally"??
I'm not and with that you did your job of destroying the couple of YOU and ME.
