Open Door

Open Door

A Poem by StacyPerry

Open Door
Have you ever known just what to do,
A voice inside speaks straight to you
Then your actions speak louder then the voice,
You have shown to all that you made your choice
Have you ever known just how to act,
Given the right time and place; now that's a fact
You did what you knew was right,
There wasn't any wrong and there was never a fight
Have you ever known when to fight for what you believe,
After you won that battle it was great relief
You stood by your heart and your mind,
You never left a friend behind
If you've known all of the prior,
It tells me something of your character my friendly sire
It means to me that you've watched me become someone I am proud to be,
So tell your heart it's oh k to put down it's guard and open the door for me.

this is a great way to express the reopening of your heart when it has been closed off to passion for a long period of time. I am still waiting for that moment but this describes how it feels to completely let go and start again. I love the last line of this poem it ties all the other parts of the poem together.

It's easy to wrap up your heart after hurt. Still hard to re arrange feelings after someone has trampled on them. I loved this poem as you've used simple words to redefine the complexity of emotion.

A nice and rather romantic poem just to trust, trusting me is okay. If its the right time trust I think will let the other person know. This is really good poem.

We need a open door and a willing heart to re-birth things lost on the road. A beautiful poem of hope. I like the ending. A excellent poem.
