Photo and Serenity

This is my back piece. It is the tale of my life until the end of it. If you ask, I will explain it for you.

What do you see when you look above,
Do you see flesh filled with love
Do you see nonsensical symbols and an un-tell-able tale,
Do you see my back and nothing else prevails??
Maybe you see what I want you to see,
Colors and symbols and words on me
Then again there are few,
They are the ones who can read into
The depths of my flesh with the scars and tattoos,
That tell the story of who I am from life to death, happy to blue
So next time you stare at my back piece,
Let it bring you inner peace
Know what you look at is a true story,
The tale of life to death inked upon my flesh, maybe then you will understand the thought provoking story.

I like the tattoo. I have 4 tattoos. For my Native American heritage and a tattoo handed down from the men in my family that we wear with pride. I like the feel and story in the words. I like the last line a lot. A excellent poem.
