viva enim mortuorum in memoria vivorus est posita

viva enim mortuorum in memoria vivorus est posita

A Poem by StacyPerry
"

The life of the dead is retained in the memory of the living.

"
As I read the pages,
I wonder if you are truly gone
As I've thought for ages
I just can't leave you and be done
The love I hold for you my dear,
I know that our hearts beat as we live
I wish that you were close and near,
So that I could know for positive
I think about you everyday,
If I pause it hurts
I want you to know that when you leave I just may,
Join you a bit quicker and curt
Yes that shortened life span of mine would make others sad,
I am not living for anyone else
I can't towards you be mad,
I've tried to save you and myself
So if this is truly the end of your days,
To you I say this even though mentioned above
You were the moon and the sunny rays,
That cast upon me beautiful love.

"Well, as far as I'm concerned Woodrow, the first man that comes by here and can read Latin is welcome to rob us." Augustus McCrae (Lonesome Dove)

This was sad yet poignant. It is a hard thing to lose someone close to you who defines your life and being. Wonderful write. Just had to throw in Robert Duvall's lines for the Latin title. lol

its a touching tribute - love and pain are beautifully emoted in the piece. the grief of losing someone close, someone who is an inseparable part of one's being is brought out with tenderness. it not only holds love in a warm embrace but it also sets love free. very moving verse. deep and eloquent.

Some people in a life leave their marks forever. Missed family members are in my mind daily. Poem is very good. I like the story and the emotion of your words. The ending was beautiful. A excellent poem.
