V-Day [2009]

This actually was how I felt for someone at one point in my life

"I love you" he says and means it momentarily,

"I love you" she says and means it permanently

"Stay a while" he says and means it on the fly,

"Stay a while" she hears and thinks he's the guy

"You'll enjoy this" he says knowing it's lust,

"You'll enjoy this" she hears and it's instant trust

"We're not anything" he says and means it as truth,

"We're not anything" she hears and now has the proof

"Don't call me" he says and means exactly that,

"Don't call me" she hears and feels like she got hit with a bat

So to you all enjoy this day that tells you to love,

Sad a calendar says more than the s**t up above.
