A Paternal Lament

A Paternal Lament

A Poem by StacyPerry
"

This poem is pretty much different from any I have written and actually scary how it flowed out of me to the keys beneath.

"

There was a man,

He shown like the sun

He smiled everyday,

As he walked by everyone

He was the most caring,

He was the most fun

Yet when he got home,

The life that he'd known

Had blown up along,

With his wife and children staring at him

It almost looked like a very sad song,

They were bound and gagged and ready for death

As another man shot them one by one,

Sorry to say that this father's day was nothing to be forgotten.
