Don't Fear the Unknown

Don't Fear the Unknown

A Poem by StacyPerry

Come climb into my twisted mind, my body full of pain,
and as the thoughts contort my eyes cry blood like rain

I can't let go for I will drown within my own blood soaked tears, I can't see anymore, so I close my eyes and I follow your voice which feels so  near

If I let go I will fall to my death within the abyss that surrounds this balance beam called life, You could call it accidental homicide if you just whispered to me instead of talking this blind hearted person across the way who has caused you nothing but strife

Yet I open my eyes as I have hit the other side, just to find you disappeared....
You are the one who guided me by spirit as you had long fallen into the abyss and already drowned in my bloody tears

An abyss filled with hurt and pain of my personal sorrows, you had talked me across using my trust in you which was gained each day and now we will have no more tomorrows

I am full of despair, so I climb to a frightening height, I sit upon the pedestal that I had created for you out of my own plight

And as I reach the top of what I used to call your throne, You then float to me, my spiritual guide as I do not fear the unknown.

Sometime we must reach the bottom to find the answers needed in a life. Poem is amazing. A poem needed to be read more then once. I like the ending. A excellent poem.
