What Would Your Shadow Say?

If you could ask your shadow a question what do you think he would say?
He sees your true form every second of the god damn day.
And while you close your eyes to sleep, oh yes, he is there.
Trapped in the darkness of your thoughts. Trapped in his despair.
And as you wake up in the morning for a brand new day.
He prays that this will be different- the day that you'll repay.
But you see some people never change.
Some people just cause pain.

If your shadow had eyes would he count the tears that you have cried?
Or would he count all of tears you made your victims cry.
Send them up like starry droplets in the bright night sky.
Would your sky be an infinite glimmer or a barren gaze?

If your shadow could leave, do you think that he would?
Be done with all the cruelty on the misunderstood.
Leave behind the skeleton in your closet and make way for better days.
Where he can shadow a person in a bright and cheery- happy faze.

I like your poem, and your ability to be able to write about something most people wouldn't even bother with. I also love the amount of imagery and feelings you're able to compose in just a single line.

Ummmm....actually I was complimenting you on your poem in the one line of my review, which is essentially a quote in your poem, and I was agreeing with you, in the line, "Be done with all the cruelty on the misunderstood..." I was saying if my shadow could talk, it would say the same except it would be the true spirit in my inner voice...wow. you are so defensive when I was being kind. A paradox to your poem and a jumping the gun on your comment of the same assumption you are accusing others. Don't worry I wont waste my time here reading your poetry when you are being offended by what was actually kindness. Looks like youre the only one judging others THAT YOU DONT EVEN KNOW, OR EVER WILL.
