The Dark Hall

The Dark Hall

A Poem by DontBlink158

I cry silent tears

in the dark of the night.

No one's there,

No one's here,

to hear my pleas.

I look out

my broken door.

I look down

the darken hallway.

There's light at the end

but can i make it?

Through this hell hole called

life

I step out

just to fall.

I get back up,

still determined

to be the best.

One more step

only to fall...

And so it begins; the

pattern

Up,Down

Up, Down

But i learn soon

how to cast a shadow.

Of a strong, brave girl.

But really,

I'm on my

hands and knees,

crawling through

broken glass.

How long can

I go on?

How long, can one take

such abuse?

I cannot answer this,

as I am still trying.

Still crawling,

Still learning to walk.

As I will be

forever more...
