Use Me

Use Me

A Poem by Scout

Jesus

Use my eyes to see the weak, the lonley, and ignored

to see the child at church who sits in a corner a lone

the widowed mother who lives on the street and begs for food

the boy with cancer who doesn't believe in you

Use my ears to hear the suffering,

the longing and beauty

to hear the sobs and shouts of a man who pretends to be tough on the outside

the sad words of my friends as their parents divorce

the passions of others

Use my feet to travel, help, and dance

to travel the world to places that need you

to help drive the elderly women who lives on my street

to dance with the African children whey they feel rain

Use my mouth to share, sing, and love

to share the good news to everyone in reach

to sing of your name and your love

to speak in a way that makes others feel loved

Use my hands to comfort, feed and give

to comfort a baby orphaned by their mother

to feed a soldier who has lost both of his arms

to give my money to those who need it

use my heart

to feel your love like you had on the cross

use my brain

to know the truth

use me Lord

I surrender all to you

I love writing and reading. It is the best feeling to sit down and write out your feelings in poetry, or imagine a dream world and write a novel. I can not imagine not writing ever, it is like my oxyg.. more..
