How can people be so picky

when it comes to love

if they are poor

or ugly

if they are nerdy

or dorky

Why does it matter?

if you love someone

that should be the final word

no buts or ifs

don't be embarrassed by him

because if he loves you and you love him

it is the best gift in the world

and looks aren't everything

even the ugliest duckling can be the perfect match

and if he is

eventually he will not be ugly in your eyes

he will be the most beautiful person ever created

and just because he is poor

does not mean he can't provide for you

I'd rather spend one day

loving a poor man

and die the next day

than spend my entire life regretting

a love that slipped away

love comes in so many shapes

usually unexpected ones

so if you find it

cherish it

and never let go
