Tribute to a hero

This is my tribute to Steve Irwin

You always made me smile

and I am pretty sure

the entire world lit up

every time they saw you

because you spread joy

through everything you do

I've never met you but

you've done so much for me

you helped me realize my hopes and dreams

you taught me to not listen

to everything I hear

you even founded a new love for me

but most of all you inspired me

to be who I am today

All I can say is thank you

You are my hero

not without fault

but because of you I alugh

a bit more each day

and I try to face all my fears

Someday I hope to meet you

When this world has passed away
