Forgive me

Forgive me

A Poem by Scout

Unintentionally I may have hurt you

You don't even know it

but I feel so bad

I love you dearly

and I only want you to be happy

but I made a mistake

I have thought bad things

and said things you would

fall to pecies over if you heard

Please forgive me

I treasue your friendship more than anything

More than the perfect man for me

a thousand waves could not

weaken my love for you

Don't forget me

I never meant to do it

The boy means nothing

Awww!!!! this is so sweet and so sad. Its hard to confess the things that we've done wrong but this is really pretty and wonderfully done.

A scenario we all fall into.
Doing something or saying something we regret.
& no matter how many times we do it, sometimes we just never seem to learn.
A lot of guilt is evident here. Guilt & shame.
The ending gives a nice twist. In one line, you explain the reasoning behind the entire poem. I like that, very clever.
A simple poem. But a confession does not require embellishment.

Yours truly,
