The Wandering Willow

The Wandering Willow

A Poem by ssaimeri
"

I wander why she wondered.

"

I have seen the truth of the wandering willow

Blinding the sun while he screams.

I have seen the truth of the wandering willow

And know that she is a dream.

She answered a prayer from the lord of the air,

She went among the beasts.

Answering a prayer from the lord of the air,

She fell unto defeat.

Now undone and forced to run she began to see with fear.

Beginning her run she felt a gun and knew the end was near.

Opening her heart she thought it’d be great

To walk the land unfettered.

Opening her heart she let it escape

To find someplace, only better.

A noxious foul

Created by rhyme

She let loose a howl

And fell out of time.

Beginning to see

The land became dark

Beginning to leave

She left her own mark.

---

I have seen the truth of the wandering willow

Forging through the dead forest.

I have seen the truth of the wandering willow

Singing along with no chorus.
