I Was An ArchangelA Poem by S.R. WolfI was an Archangel I was an Archangel With a hand in the
massacres and a hand with god I was an archangel
who never wanted love I was always your
protector When the clouds fell
like a lump of coal I was an Archangel Brittle to the bone With a little darkness
and a little soul I was lonely but
never alone But the ashes piled and
my blood ran cold I was an Archangel So indifferent in
darkness and so indifferent in light I was an archangel
who never got it right I was buried in a
mountain where gulls sang And left no markings
in Gods land © 2012 S.R. Wolf |
