What a wonderful, beautiful and breathtaking poem.
I am not a mother (yet!) but am a very maternal teenager, with three nieces and a nephew. Therefore, although I do not have my own children, I can still see and feel all the joy they bring to their troubled elders.
The symbolism of the blue/red text is very clear, simple yet completely effective. The thought that springs to mind as you watch your son, and the underlying thought beneath it. Children, in all their innocence, expose and heal all of the troubles and mini plagues that can affect the soul of the older and more experienced. Children truly are blessings, and wonderful beings, and I am glad that you have your son to remind you of all that is good in the world. I hope that when he is older, you will show him this poem so he can see how much of a blessing he truly is to you.
This is a profound, soul-searching write. I really like the format...the way you listed something you see in Kriish and then follow it with a question....then the following list of short lines like,
"Your confidence
Your Innocence
Your simplicity
Your belief in love
Your forgetfulness
Your faith".
Children teach us a lot....sometimes I think I learned a lot more through them than they learned from me. Very nicely done.
These are the thoughts and memoirs of a loving mother.Kriish seems like he has the world in his palms. It shows so much that you care about him more than anything in the entire world. What I love about children is that everthing so simplistic and they seem to know everything but not even know it (What a horrible oxymoron, right?).Fantastic write.
He's very luck to have you as his mother. I know the sun rises and sets with him. This is one of your best poems. Its so heartfelt and full of emotion that the reader can feel exactly what you were feeling as you wrote it. Plus, Kriish is just adorable! I know you are very proud of him. Great poem Prati!
omg I Love this poem, its absolutely great, and i must say he's lucky to have a mom like you who admires him so, continue with the great writings my dear.....God Bless you and yours
