FAT

FAT

A Poem by spunkyleo

pants,
they are a bane.

dresses,
they cause me pain.

swimsuits,
i dare not.

I AM FAT!
I AM FAT!
I. . . AM FAT!

DOUGHNUTS.
PIZZA.
ICE CREAM.
Cake.

thought my appetite
shrinks, my stomach
expands!

i have tried many
things; from diets
to pills.

none have succeeded.
only to suck the money from
my anorexic wallet.

my pillow is a friend i can
cry to and my mirror is
a bully  i avoid.

but . . .
is it really worth it?

is beauty only skin deep?

are looks the only things
that matter?

no. . .

no . . .

no . . .

it cant be.

I AM ME!

I AM ME!

I AM. . . ME!

and that's more
than anyone else
can ever be.
