The Peace of NowhereA Poem by OtherWorldWoman
Love.
This word, love? It cracks me in the face with every corner I turn and then it withdraws. Never does it settle, but like a ladybug it drifts dynamically on and off of my cheek. A gentle love I seek the sensation, buzzing and numb certainty, peace. It kissed my mind in one place the imprint lingers like the ghost of someone close. Hands reaching out far past fleeting feet I run blurred hearts, connected through my vision as I pass set my smiles to automatic they deserve the happiness they hold ignorantly, blissfully so. That is what I want too, isn't it? Mist flows into my path my legs are heavy and tired a field of flowers, and I sleep. "I am done searching Stillness is my paradise. There is nothing out there for me.." A figure stands shadow in the sun a strong arm and a weak smile the heaviness is gone gravity lifts and I don't have to run and I don't have to sleep. What is this? You.. You.. are love. Please do not run. Please do not sleep. Glide with me to nowhere. As you sow, so shall you reap. © 2011 OtherWorldWomanReviews
