A Turn of Events

A Turn of Events

A Poem by OtherWorldWoman

How long has it been?
Since I have really felt alive
What happened?
To make me forget
As time passed by
The days have turned
From bright to black
As I sit in social lack
Is it really that hard to smile
Or embrace me in your arms
Have things really changed
So much
With the sound
of this silent alarm...

Your poetry as a whole brings so much light into a darkened space few know or will admit they feel life in this way. You own every word you write and let them fly unrestrand. I pause to thank you for giving them to us, for the same awkward emotions others feel. How should I prosper from her loss. Its obvious you are near death or one feels its hand drawing close. I thank you for giving me yourself just as you are raw and amazing!
