Faint Memories FallA Poem by OtherWorldWoman
With one word
My heart has snapped In two In one careless gesture my grin fell to the ground My laugh dissapated Fading out into the open air The echo and beat Your words knocking on my eardrum Though not spoken Rather typed They still echo As if they weren't And faint memories fall Faint memories fall Glowing in the darkness Precious snowfall Tears freeze to crystalline ice Shattering once Shattering twice Skin frozen Lips blue Eyes wide open Full of rue And summer gleams Hot and bright Cold reigns Restrictions tight A whisper of hope So soft and small As faint memories fall © 2011 OtherWorldWomanReviews
