Surface Skim of a Ponderer

Surface Skim of a Ponderer

A Poem by OtherWorldWoman

Ignorance lies in the eyes of humankind,
upon the very fabric of our reality,
lies a distinct complexity,
perhaps incapable of discovery by the more skeptical of men,
but what is the veracious validity?
the true and accurate honest answer of life?
Beyond the stars and the galaxies,
what lies there?
does it go on for ever,
or does it intersect in a boundary of alternating occupancy of matter?
Why do people live, breathe, love, laugh?
What is the meaning of feeling--of thought?
Perhaps the fortuity of fatality slices them away...
Or maybe time itself is simply an illusion,
spent on the wayward architecture of embodied spirits...
What is why is LIFE?

There was a lot of questions and sometimes it can get annoying, but this didn't seem annoying to me at all. It was a really well done poem with a lot of power in each line. I really liked the last line when you capitalized LIFE, mostly because I can feel what you are feeling. Keep up the good work, I can't wait to read more of your work.

Our origin, our nature, our universe - so many things to ponder upon and so many questions dangling in the air waiting for answer(s). Your poem beautifully depicts the various thoughts that cross a wandering mind, trying to reach to the outskirts of existence in search of an explanation, perhaps. Well written. :D

I wonder why you have 68 views and no reviews. It lacks structure but also asks a lot of rhetorical questions. Questions where one answer denies each of us our own truth ...truth is we all wonder who, what, when, where and why. Life's complexities deserve more than inquiries but demand our living it. Call it reality or ego base illusions. We all exist in a failed experiment of grace vs. salvation.
