The River of Life

The River of Life

A Poem by OtherWorldWoman

Tears ascend within
no melancholy in rendition
rather
of bursting passion
it does one well to feel the brilliant surge
for living
in the light of harmony
melodies of laughter and love
grab hold the streaming wind current
and fly.
Cool ignition to the fuse of wild spirits
as in from the tropics
refreshing droplets under scorching sunlight
perhaps like the iced groundings of the North
crackle of a warm fire beneath the barricade of frost
in unison the forces of euphoria
excluding assistance of enhancing narcotics
tis' non-essential in pursuit of purpose
so like is life
Is life to be lived
those who live dead shall disgrace
the divining dispensations
thus hold no query to joy
salted away...
