Frost FallsA Poem by OtherWorldWoman
Frost falls.
Crystallized flakes against the pale palour of the shattered sky Billows of smoky wind encircle the trees Whispering through the twisted icicles settled in stiff branches Dawn breaks and the snow covered grass is concealed by a sea of fog leaching away as the sun rises higher and higher above Slowly it begins to slip and decline into the darkening shadows of the horizon Scarlet. Mandarin. Plum. Vibrantly painted between the clouds As in a leak in the lowset glass of a fishtank colours flow out like water Gleaming with unique flavour against a tasteless palette... © 2010 OtherWorldWomanFeatured Review
