The Self

The Self

A Poem by Jitss Bhojwani
"

The eternal Self

"
I Reside in all
alike
in sinner and the saint
yet
not gaining any virtues
nor affected by any taint
of vice
Like an onlooker I see you all
from raw to ripe
fool and wise
yet
yet remain silent
like scent
in the flower
or as in body resides
the power
unseen, yet the very essence
in the whole space I am present
concealed from your eyes
complex even for the mind
yet known to the Wise
who waked up from the night
of ignorance
Saw the sun rise
the sun of knowledge
with its presence
showed the way out from this
forest dense
of the world
Go to those sages
they will get you rid
from the ages
and ages of lifecycles
and will take you to the Self
and you will know
That is You!
