THE CALLA Poem by SAYED THANGALThe call from two sidesTHE CALL Your call I hear , I am sure And see the way Right and straight Still , hesitate to enter ! So soon , a smiling face Decent in appearance Silly chats exchanged To the other way, leads me on. Ah ! glittering and illuminating The way , I proceed along, Feel dizzy with utmost joy With the millions , same as me ! Clouds black dim the brightness A sudden halt for the merry march Chaos takes over us Not knowing the way out. The new entry, still, never ceasing With the mind once we had To guard them, the same companion Knowing not how they have been fooled . Oh ! to come out I strive From the drudgery indulged in To hear once more , the call And to see the way - straight and right ! Sayed thangal
