LET OTHERS LIVEA Poem by SAYED THANGALSome people often go out side in search of jobs, forgetting themselves and living for others, bearing all toilsDestined to leave and forced to flee Forget to live to let others live; Toiling over seas away from dear ones No permanent station any where else. Letters and calls of unfinished demands From the dear and near, No relief from toil nor time to relax Becomes a money maker; day in and day out. Only a distant witness to the events, Of marriage or death of the beloved, Though a firm supporter from behind Always a long and lonely sigh from yonder. Infirmities and silvery hair remind him to return But with diseases and liabilities hand in hand, Echoes the lost youth and health From within , the days of uncertainty to come. sayed thangal
