EVERY WHERE THE SAMEA Poem by SAYED THANGALWhere ever and who ever we are our natural tendency would not change. The roughness of the surface becomes harder I lose the grip with the stamp of each foot No other way but to walk on and on Shades here and shades there, but not to relax On the self same route you too with me Busy both the hands, no third hand to support Yet, without turning back I keep pace, Oh ! I see , almost the same all else do I search for the fruits among trees , And as do all to forget the pain Some win and some lose I see , every where, every body else do the same The same thing , again and again. ! The heaviness of the fruits lowers some heads Though difficult to recognize their faces They all gaze on their heads Compels my feet to proceed Forgetting the infirmity of my legs, I see, you too doing the same. sayed thangal
