Overpass

Overpass

A Poem by Norrin Shearer

You make me want to throw myself
Off of the overpass
And seal my fate on the pavement below
Then under the wheels of an oncoming bus
And do you think I'd look good all covered in red?
And then even better dressed in all black
As I lay in that box
Hoping to never come back
