anger

anger

A Poem by spoils
"

it chews

"
Anger

Ancient,  grows from within
Dislodges humanity and soul
No defense in or outside

Slithering on reptile cunning
Leaving a slimy trail of despair
Squeezing hearts into stone

Always there, can’t be outrun
Hiding is useless, carried inside
Growing in all dark thoughts

When calmly faced it must go
Starved of hate its form fades
Life will be yours again that day
