Words and lines

Might make you bored

But the lines from these

Are meant to please

 

A rich meaning

One that you have to find

While some are apparent

Others play with your mind

 

A wonderful story

It will try to convey

The greatness of it

Those who read can say

 

Sharing their views

Or what they've seen

In a way that is treasured now

And always has been

 

A tiny useful moral

It might hold

But straight away

You won’t be told

 

To penetrate

What it’s trying to say

Even for the best

It might take a day

 

Poems are made to enjoy,

And not for a test.

Some, like me will think,

That they are the best.

I like this piece. Describes poetry very well, gives an inspiring look at poetry.. Enjoyed reading it. Only thing I think should possibly be changed is the last line, "That they are the best." This line just sounds clichéd and awkward. I think it would help the ending to change that line to something more...poetic. Even if you have to throw away the rhyme scheme. This is just my opinion though.
